Tartiflette Savoyarde

Tartiflette is a traditional recipe from the Savoy Alps in France (on the east is Switzerland, moving south is North West Italy). The main ingredients consist of Reblochon cheese AOP, sliced potatoes, lardons and onions.

The taste reminded me of an after-ski dinner in the Alps. The nutty and mushroomy taste of the melted cheese in the evaporated Côtes-du-Rhône combined with the potatoes paired incredibly well with Les Gendrines. The addition of the aromatic flavour of the rosemary completed the ensemble of my Tartiflette.
