Gnocchi Ratatouille

The simmering of the sweet red bell peppers with the soft mini eggplants infused in fresh rosemary turned out to be a harmonious topping for my Gnocchies. Potatoes would have been a more traditional approach, but moving away from tradition was the purpose of my wine pairing. Monsieur Meffre would be fine with it; I hope? His wine translates into French Flute Quintets, this medium body with pear, apricot, white peaches, jasmine tea with honeysuckle that plays a sweet and calming Chamber Music, homey and cosy.
