The words that come into my mind are “this bottle is a complete mystery”, this is due to the lack of the vintage’s information. The Château’s website carries the most complete accurate information, but 1902 isn’t part of its presentation. Weeks of online research, yet I don’t have the information I wish I have. Reached out to at least 5# reliable and dependable sources, including the Château and I have come to realization, that getting the information I wish I have, requires traveling to St.Emilion and meet Monsieur Lurton and his team. I can confirm you though, that this bottle has been reconditioned by the Château itself few months ago and it is legitimate. @berrybrosrudd -
Good to know facts: -Château Cheval Blanc is located in St. Emilion, next to Pomerol on the right bank of the Dordogne. -CCB has the leading position of Premier Grand Cru Classé (A), the wines of Class (B) and the rest of the St. Emilion Classification are listed by Alphabetical order and the list is updated every ten years. -What makes CCB wine authentic is its harmonious blend with Cabernet Franc, it gives the final finness to the blend with Merlot. -The Cellar was redesigned and inaugurated in year 2011 by Christian de Portzamparc. -CCB has one of the best prestigious wine web-sites. The interviews from Mr. Lurton to WM Serena Sutcliffe are very interesting, their insights are so precious. If i can transform this into music: “It is Etude, two movements, Bach, piano=one person eg. Michel Bettane (piano) who explains the wine and music in parallel (two movements)” - FWS: After the phenomenonal incident in the late 2000’s and the arrest of the wine collector, who consigned “infinite” quantity of counterfeited wines to many collectors & auction houses, I do strongly believe that the fine wine industry is extremely cautious and is constantly fighting “fakers” and give collectors and wine lovers/professionals the confidence in exploring historical and prestigious wines. - #chateauchevalblanc1902#chateauchevalblanc #stemilion#michelin #chef #sommelier#bordeaux #winelover #foodwithsusi#wineadvocate #RobertParker#sothebyswine #wineauction #redwine#winelover
